Manchester United have approached Championship promotion hopefuls Southampton about bringing director of football Jason Wilcox to Old Trafford
Russell Martin refused to be drawn on speculation surrounding the future of Southampton's director of football Jason Wilcox after a 3-2 defeat at Ipswich Town on Easter Monday.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, United are adamant they have followed the correct procedure in their approach for Wilcox and have offered the equivalent of a full year's pay as compensation for the former Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United and Leicester City winger. "Just give me more than 10 minutes to get over the disappointment and then I'll have more," said Martin. "You know my feelings on Jason, and I'll have a chat with him after. I've just had a text saying how proud he was of the performance. Once I know more I'll tell you."
