'South Park' hopes to strike a streaming deal worth $500 million by lisettevoytko
"South Park," now in its 23rd season, is one of the longest-running TV series in U.S. history.: The next big legacy TV brand to be fought over by streaming companies—after “The Office” , “Seinfeld” , “Friends” —will be “South Park,” with owner Viacom and creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone hoping to strike a streaming deal worth $500 million for the long-running edgy cartoon,The deal could fetch between $450 million and $500 million and could be reached as soon as this weekend.
Hulu paid $192 million for the show’s streaming rights in 2015, which means the new deal would approximately double that amount.
