Armstrong Williams takes on the news of the week and asks the questions you want answered. Don't miss our weekly town hall.Governor Greg Abbott has announced that the Texas Music Office and the Bandera County Convention and Visitors Bureau will host a Music Friendly Texas Community Workshop .
The free workshop at noon on Aug. 12 at the Bandera Electric Cooperative is open to musicians, venues, and the general public. "Music is key to the Texas brand and to our local economies,” said Governor Abbott. "With support from the Texas Music Office, the Texas music industry accounts for more than 192,000 direct and indirect permanent jobs and generates more than $26 billion in annual economic activity statewide. Working alongside local leaders like those in Bandera, we will ensure even more Texas communities have the tools needed to succeed.
The event aims to foster the development of the music industry in Texas, sending a message to industry professionals that the Lone Star State is open for business and serious about fostering a thriving music industry. The workshop in Bandera will also be the first step in certifying the city of Bandera with the Music Friendly Texa designation, joining 63 other cities across the state.
