With Thanksgiving in the rearview mirror and Christmas on the horizon, we asked Guardians fans what they were most thankful for regarding the special 2022 season:
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Thanksgiving is in the rear view mirror. Christmas is on the horizon. It is a good time to count our blessings and express gratitute for what happened over the past year.
We asked our subtext subscribers what they were thankful for regarding the Guardians 2022 season that saw them win the AL Central with 92 victories and advance to the American League Division Series before losing to the Yankees in five games. I’m thankful for the Dolan family, local owners who had patience with their front office and their willingness to signI’m thankful for the front office that has a system in place that supports player development.
I’m thankful for Terry Francona being able to manage an entire season and guide this team to a remarkable performance.that he decided to stay in Cleveland when we know he could manage anywhere in the majors.I’m thankful for the hiring of Chris Valiaka and a better approach to hitting. I’m thankful for Carl Willis, Joe Torres, Brian Sweeney and the rest of Cleveland’s pitching group for their ability to develop good bullpens.I’m thankful thatI’m thankful for the Guardians’ scouts and player development people for signing and developing the rookie talent we saw this season.
