BA: It’s been amazing to be out with everyone, especially with this new album “So Happy It Hurts” — it’s kind of fitting, don’t you think? Interestingly, at the beginning of the year, we were playing gigs and everyone was wearing a mask. I’m glad those days are gone.Article contentBA: Those days were not spent idle. I got straight to work and recorded and wrote the album. I also hired a young engineer called Hayden Watson from Strathclair, Manitoba.

Q: You performed the halftime show at the 2003 Grey Cup in Regina. The game is back in the Saskatchewan capital this year. What do you remember about that experience in 2003? Frozen vocal cords? BA: I’m truly grateful for all these things but truly the only goal, if there is one, is simply to keep going with the music. That’s because it’s the music that I’m most proud of. Every night I look down at the setlist of all these songs that have been written and the joy they have brought to not only me and my team but so many people I’ll never meet.
