Veteran Nationalist Pete Wishart said he wouldn't use a 'vote SNP to make Scotland Tory free' slogan while he campaigns to keep his seat in Perth.
A senior SNP MP has distanced himself from Humza Yousaf's "Tory free" campaign slogan in an apparent split over the party's general election strategy.
It comes after Yousaf used a speech in Perth yesterday to tell SNP members: "In this election, we have the chance to finally make Scotland Tory free for the first time in almost a quarter of a century. A poll of Scottish voting intentions out last week put the SNP tied with Scottish Labour on 34 per cent.Lloyd told BBC Scotland the SNP was "trying to find a narrative" in the election "that cuts into Labour's march to power".
