According to the Met Office, it will be another rainy day across Friday
Heavy rain is set to hit Yorkshire today as more flood warnings and alerts have been issued - just hours after heavy snow blanketed parts of the county overnight.
According to the Met Office, more rain will move in from the west overnight, mostly moving out any snow which has begun to fall in parts of North Yorkshire. Rain will fall across Huddersfield, Leeds, York, Bradford and Sheffield overnight. Most rain will be less than a mm an hour, but some areas like York, parts of Leeds and parts of Sheffield may see between two and four mm an hour. As a result some flood warnings and alerts have been put in place.Snow forecasts for Friday have failed to materialise for Yorkshire, instead becoming heavy rain, although other parts of the UK will indeed get snow, the Met Office says, including the Pennines and Lancashire.
As the morning continues, the day will see less rain but there will be repeated showers for most of the day. The Met Office said: "Bright and breezy, with sunshine and showers. Some of these showers will be on the heavy side and perhaps thundery, wintry too on hills.Here are the flood warnings and alerts already in place.
