Smith: Ikenna Enechukwu wants to be agent of change at Rice before pursuing NFL goal
“Not even in middle school,” Enechukwu said.Enechukwu believes more than ever that the hard way is the right way, and he wants his first winning season to arrive during his last season as an Owl.
Enechukwu, who was part of Bloomgren’s first recruiting class, has 2.5 sacks this season and has evolved into a team leader for the Owls. “The growth for him personally, on and off the field, it’s just been tremendous,” Bloomgren said. “It’s why you coach. It’s what you love to see.” He prefers intensity between the lines — beating the opposition across from him and sending them home.
