, is heading to TIFF with her first featureDirected by El Hourch from a screenplay she also wrote, the pic follows three friends who create a public outcry after they post a video identifying the assailant who attacked one of them.

The full synopsis reads: Despite their different social backgrounds, Amina, Djeneba, and Zineb have been friends for as long as they can remember. When Zineb experiences harassment from her brother’s best friend, Amina decides to post a compromising video of him on social media, hoping he will stop. Little does she know that the video will not only jeopardize her safety but also strain their friendship.

Starring are Léah Aubert, Médina Diarra, Salma Takaline, Oscar Al Hafiane, Bérénice Bejo, and Mounir Magroum. The film was produced by Philippe Gompel of Manny Films, with co-producer Lamia Chraïb. Paname Distribution is releasing the film in France, while Memento International is handling world sales.

Speaking about how she put the film together, El Hourch said she came up with the idea for the screenplay ten years ago. “I spent those ten years writing the screenplay, hoping that it would come to life on the screen. Those years were very difficult, with many ups and downs. I almost gave up several times, but I kept writing until I had a script that I was satisfied with and that, most importantly, could attract financial partners,” she said. debuted at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight in 2015 and went on to play Stockholm, Zagreb, Toronto, and SXSW.
