Manchester City have identified and banned two fans for 'vile' chants about the death of Sir Bobby Charlton.
Charlton's passing was announced at half-time of City's 2-1 win over Brighton last Saturday and individuals were filmed singing offensive chants about the Manchester United legend. City condemned the scenes on an Etihad Stadium concourse before the Premier League released a statement after being left 'appalled' by the fans' actions.
'Following the conclusion of Greater Manchester Police's ongoing investigation, the individuals will be subject to the club's official sanctions and bans process.'
