A 40-year-old woman was sentenced to 14 months in jail yesterday for stabbing her teenage daughter.
According to the timeline presented in court, it was late at night when the woman began scolding the 15-year-old and blatantly asked the older daughter if she should kill her sister.The mother then took a knife from the kitchen and again asked if she should kill the 15-year-old. She then stabbed her in her right thigh and slashed her arm while the teenager tried to stop her.
All the while, the mother shouted and cursed at the teenager while hitting her with a metal ladle that became bent out of shape upon impact. The mother ignored her cries for her to stop and started mocking her.
