LOS ÁNGELES (AP) — Los líderes del sindicato de guionistas de Hollywood declararon el martes el fin de su huelga de casi cinco meses de duración, luego de que los miembros de la junta aprobaran un acuerdo contractual con los estudios.
Las juntas directivas de las ramas del Sindicato de Guionistas de Estados Unidos en el este y en el oeste del país votaron a favor de aprobar el acuerdo, y posteriormente declararon que la huelga llegaría a su fin y que los guionistas serán libres de volver a trabajar a partir del miércoles a las 12:01 a.m.
Los guionistas aún deben votar para ratificar el contrato, pero poner fin a la huelga les permitirá trabajar durante ese proceso, dijeron miembros del sindicato en un correo electrónico.Un nuevo ambiente de optimismo animó a los actores el martes por primera vez desde que los guionistas alcanzaron un acuerdo preliminar el domingo por la noche.
“Por un momento realmente pensé que esto iba a seguir hasta el próximo año”, dijo Marissa Cuevas, actriz que ha participado en las series de televisión “Kung Fu” y “The Big Bang Theory”. “Saber que al menos algunos de nosotros han obtenido un buen acuerdo nos da mucha esperanza de que nosotros también conseguiremos un buen trato”.
