Neil Gray insists Shotts must be retained in the name of the constituency.
MSP Neil Gray has questioned the decision to remove the name of Shotts from the latest Boundary Review stating that as it is the second largest town in the constituency and quite distinct in character from Airdrie , Shotts should be retained in the name.
Mr Gray is keen for constituents to fill in the consultation at Second Review of Scottish Parliament Boundaries - Revised Proposals - Boundaries Scotland - Citizen Space to give their opinions on the decision with a view to having the name changed to reflect the two towns. The Airdrie & Shotts MSP said: “While I am pleased that the actual boundary has remained as it was, the same cannot be said about the name.Get all the news from your area – as well as features, entertainment, sport and the latest on Lanarkshire’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic – straight to your fingertips, 24/7.
