Being diagnosed with cancer is distressing enough. Now, a national shortage involving some of the most widely used cancer-fighting drugs has added to the worry. The shortage involves 14 drugs, including two of the main drugs used against breast cancer. “We’re all having shortages … It’s a national problem,” says Dr. Charles Reninger, an oncologist at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
