The victim was shot at Faure Drive and Serigny Drive on Tuesday afternoon and later died at a local hospital.
A 38-year-old man died after he was shot in Mobile on Tuesday afternoon, and the shooter may have acted in self-defense, police said.
Mobile police officers responded to Faure Drive and Serigny Drive around 3:29 p.m. Tuesday on a call of shots fired, said Cpl. Katrina Frazier. Officers found a 38-year-old man laying in the roadway and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, said Frazier.“Based on the evidence gathered at the scene, the subject may have been in acting in self-defense during the incident,” police said. “Therefore, this case will be presented to a grand jury.”Anyone with information on the case was asked to call Mobile police 251-208-7211.
