Jørgensen says the pandemic also played a role in worsening eye problems, particularly the increase in short-sightedness. "With the shift to remote work, people are now more likely to spend extended hours with their screens for work and leisure," he says. "Prioritising eye health isn’t just a matter of convenience, it’s a fundamental aspect of our overall wellbeing."
