A serial rapist - who terrified one of his victims by wearing a balaclava and gloves as he broke into her home days after he had been freed on bail - has been jailed for 12 years. A court heard how Gary Yuill, 45, had been ordered by a court just days previously to stay away from the woman's home in East Lothian. However, the woman, who had fallen asleep on a sofa, woke to find Yuill in her house.

'You left your victims fearful and submissive' Judge Lady Wise said Yuill's behaviour was 'appalling', adding: 'On many occasions, often when you had been drinking alcohol to excess, you forced your victims to have sexual intercourse with you by violence or under threat of violence.
