After starting to build their home in 2011 and moving in in 2016, Elaine and her husband documented their journey through her Instagram account
, which now has more than 30,000 followers. Elaine's Roves and Troves takes her followers on a journey into her home and life with daughter Mollie.
Elaine says she always wanted to build her own home from scratch, and has been delighted with how the results have gone so far."We'll be in the house seven years this August now," Elaine told Belfast Live."At the time there were very few or no Instagram accounts for home interiors and that kind of thing.
"I got inspiration from things like Pinterest and with my job I tend to travel a lot and stay in different hotels. So I would pick up ideas here and there for different concepts and ideas. "We did all the interior design ourselves. We did go out at one stage and start to speak to different interior designers but we just thought it was better to have our own style and stamp on our home."
