Answering questions following a speech in central London he said: “To me, security is definitely on the ballot paper. “And so at this time of international danger – the international danger isn’t just happening over there, it’s happening with Russian and Chinese and Iranian attacks here – there’s never been a clearer time to say security is what matters most and it’s what the Government is focused on.”When Labour was last in Government, we were spending 2.5% of GDP on defence.
