A Secret Service agent getting robbed at gunpoint in California over the weekend raised eyebrows on social media.The Tustin Police Department wrote in a statement on Monday that officers responded to a possible robbery at about 9:36 p.m. Saturday and learned that a member of the U.S. Secret Service was robbed at gunpoint, with the suspect taking the agent's bag, police said.'During the incident an officer involved shooting occurred,' the statement reads.
Prosecutors have implemented measures aimed at reducing inequality in the justice system, such as changes to sentencing and bail.Republicans, however, have pushed for more punitive policies they believe will lower crime, blaming Democrats' embrace of progressive criminal justice policies for rises in crime that corresponded with the COVID-19 pandemic.
