According to a department news release, police on Tuesday obtained a warrant for Quanticus Davonte Rucker, 33, who is currently in custody at the Richmond Correctional Institution in North Carolina on unrelated charges. Rucker will be charged with capital murder, police said.Rucker is the second person charged in an September 2023 robbery-homicide that left one person dead and another injured.
The affidavit said the woman bound three of the people at the house with electrical cords and placed duct tape over Williams’ mouth. She then took all the victims’ cellphones and demanded the man’s debit card, PIN and the keys to his car, police wrote in the affidavit.
