Fox News sweeps to its 215th consecutive monthly ratings win in November
Fox News dominated cable news ratings in November, with an average total prime time audience of 2.779 million viewers, an increase of 15% from the same month one year ago. According to ratings data compiled by Nielsen, Fox News Channel was well ahead of the cable news competition, with MSNBC finishing in second place overall with 2.060 million viewers and CNN finishing third, with 999,000 total viewers .
FNC’s November ratings win marks its 215th consecutive monthly victory in both prime time and for total day ratings. Fox also marked 41 straight months as the highest-rated basic cable network for total day ratings. In fact, the last week of the month—from November 18th through the 24th—Fox News posted its highest weekly ratings of 2019, with an average total audience of 3.015 million viewers and 1.735 million viewers in the key demographic of adults 25-54. Fox News was the highest-rated basic cable channel on the week, ahead of ESPN , MSNBC , Hallmark Channel and CNN ., which had its highest-rated month in the show’s history, drawing an average total audience of 3.
