Murdo Fraser, dubbed a 'major league sh*tposter' on social media by his political opponents, is the sixth candidate in the race to succeed Douglas Ross.
The Scottish Conservatives have been accused of being "all over the place" as another MSP announced they would run in its leadership race.
Fraser also pointed the finger at outgoing leader Ross for the dire situation facing the Conservatives north of the Border. Fraser joins his fellow MSPs Russell Findlay, deputy leader Meghan Gallacher, Brian Whittle, Liam Kerr and Jamie Greene in the race to replace Ross. Fraser also used an interview today to claim the miniority administration led by Alex Salmond from 2007-2011 was the best of the devolution era.
Jackie Baillie, Scottish Labour deputy leader, said: "With new candidates for the Tory leadership coming forward by the day, it won't be long until every party member has thrown their hat in the ring.
