Scott McTominay says Steve Clarke’s troops have a big chance to become one of the most successful Scottish teams in history.
“You have to have more ambition than that. You have to go there with a little bit of fire in your stomach and go: Listen, do you know what, forget about the rest of it and forget about what anyone says, we are concentrating on us and that is final. “We can’t just settle for: Oh I want another night in five years’ time to be spoken about in 10 years. I don’t just want that one because that means you have pretty much run your race in terms of your favourite night for Scotland.
McTominay said: “Those two especially have been brilliant. They know the standards. When we get to the changing room, they are saying boys what are we doing? How can we play so well and then come across a 4-0 defeat at the end of the game?
