Samantha Gilbert tragically lost her life earlier this month
A Scots woman who died in her sleep aged just 35 has been hailed as an "amazing, happy go lucky character" by her heartbroken family. Samantha Gilbert, from Aberdeen, tragically lost her life on Monday, February 13, leaving her loved onesy completely devastated.
"Her boyfriend went through to tell her her tea was ready and she was unconscious. By the time the paramedics came, she was gone. They did an autopsy and they couldn't find anything untoward that would have caused it. She added: "We kind of knew that there was always something different about her from a young age. Life was just too hard for her from the get-go. When she got her own flat at 27, she just hardly went out and she became a bit of a night owl who would sleep all day. She was diagnosed with bipolar and she had borderline personality disorder.
Top news stories today Hazel said, in her final months, long-standing health issues born of Samantha's emotional troubles started to take their toll. The tight-knit family has been hit hard by Samantha's loss. They now hope the planned memorial service will be a celebration of her life.
