The Dundee family flew from Edinburgh to London in order to get the long haul flight to Florida, only for nine suitcases to go missing.
British Airways have been forced to apologise to a Scots family after the airline lost their luggage which contained their two-year-old's asthma medication.
This was especially distressing as the dad-of-two explained that essential medication for his children's health conditions were packed in the luggage and they would not be able to replace it. Replacing clothes and belongings to enjoy what they could of the trip cost all five families a total of over £1000 - but replacing the asthma medication that two-year-old Eleanor relies on to help her breathing is more difficult.
"We have everything in those cases - including medication for our asthmatic and eczema suffering child. "We have had to totally change our plans in the first few days. Shopping in outlets rather than going to see the princesses in the parks has not been the start of the holiday that my daughter had in mind.
Scott added: "We need the bags in America. My daughters medicine is in them. We have enough until the end of the week.
