EXCLUSIVE: Schools will be closed across several council areas again next week as Unison members stage their latest walk-out in a row over pay.
Council bosses are on the verge of imposing a pay settlement on striking staff over the heads of trade unions.
The Record understands the strike will go ahead even if council bosses vote in favour of a pay imposition on Friday instead of a negotiated settlement. "It amounts to a real-terms pay cut for a workforce who are already suffering from the cost-of-living crisis.
