The latest WX Chart data shows the white stuff covering the majority of the country next week.
Scotland could be set to see 54 hours of non-stop snow fall in the first week of April, according to new weather maps.
Reporting earlier this week, he said: "We are now also still seeing some high-confidence signals and multiple model runs for something more memorable and significant to develop in terms of widespread snow prospects and even harsher Arctic cold from as early as next week and on multiple occasions during the first half of April.
Conditions are to increase further on Thursday, with up to 20cm expected to fall every hour from the Highlands all the way across to Inverness and Peterhead. Abington will once again see the brunt of wintery weather, which will see 28cm of snow as well as freezing rain Ollie Claydon, spokesperson for the weather service, told the Mirror: "No snow is forecast now. There was a bit in the southwest of England and higher ground in Scotland but now the forecast looks wet and windy, with a low pressure moving in from the west.
Tonight Showers easing, but persisting in the west. Clear skies developing, especially in the north and east. Winds easing and turning chilly with a patchy frost possible, mainly in the north.
