Parts of Scotland have been issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain and flooding by the Met Office on Wednesday.
THE Met Office has issued a weather warnings for"heavy rain" and"flooding" in parts of Scotland later this week.
This comes as Storm Ciarán hits the UK this week, bringing"strong winds and heavy rain to southern parts" of the country,are issued for a range of situations that are likely to cause some low-level impact to a limited area.Other yellow warnings are issued when extreme weather is capable of causing an impact on most but where the certainty of this is much lower.

Yellow weather warning extended across ScotlandThe Met Office has extended the yellow weather warning for rain in Scotland, including the Northeast Highlands and western parts of the Central Belt. The warning will end earlier than expected, at 3am on Monday morning.
