A woman who subjected her husband to 20 years of horrific abuse was only caught when a nanny cam filmed her sickening behaviour. Sheree Spencer pleaded guilty to coercive and controlling behaviour and three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and years of attacking her husband Richard. The nanny cam footage has now been revealed for the first time - and in one clip Sheree, from Market Weighton in Yorkshire, can be seen holding a carving knife.
Humberside Police officers have explained in a new interview for Channel 5's My Wife The Abuser: The Secret Footage, that Sheree came up with a lie when they quizzed her about why she was holding the carving knife. She falsely claimed: "I wanted to give him it because he had threatened me, wanted to kill me. He'd rather kill me than divorce me. I reached for the knife because, if he wants to kill me, just do it.
