Elsie Peters and Doris Cook returned to Blackpool to celebrate 45 years of friendship
Two school friends recreated a photograph on the very same bench - 45 years after posing for the snap at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Earlier this month, the friends, both from Melton Mowbray, celebrated 45 years of friendship by going on a pilgrimage to the famous resort.In honour of the occasion, Elsie and Doris, now both 62, bought cowboy hats and posed on the same bench at the iconic seaside theme park. Despite the ride changing from the Goldmine to the Alice in Wonderland attraction, the life-long friends say everything else remained the same.
“We visited Blackpool for a couple of nights. We explored on Friday and then on Saturday we visited Pleasure Beach in the morning to take the photograph.
