“People are concerned and expressing concern that we won’t be the guardians of memory and that we will allow Donald Trump as he is, you know, bathed in the glory and grandeur of his party to rewrite himself as both a hero and a victim, that people who are the most vulnerable to not just the things he’s done but the things he’s promising to do and that that will then happen without a guardian,” Reid said during her RNC coverage Monday night.
“Donald Trump gave us a great four years, great economy, great opportunity for people. Everybody was doing better. And this time around, I think you are seeing President Trump even more sharp focused on what those needs are that people want,” Scalise continued. “They want a strong leader. They want somebody who is going to secure the border, who’s going to tackle these issues that Joe Biden created. And the energy has never been higher.
