SANTA CLARA — A big homebuilder has bought a Santa Clara shopping center where a housing development is in the works, public records show.
Acting through affiliate Toll West Coast, the residential developer paid $16.5 million for the retail complex, according to the county property records. The city of Santa Clara has given final approval to the project, which is slated to be constructed at the corner of El Camino Real and Calabazas Avenue next to a creek.
