Sandra Bullock's partner of eight years Bryan Randall died at age 57 after a three-year battle with ALS, his family said Aug. 7.
"He was so happy, but he was scared," she recalled. "I'm a bulldozer. My life was already on the track and here's this beautiful human being who doesn't want anything to do with my life, but [is] the right human being to be there."
Describing her then-partner as a "very patient" man and "a saint," Sandra said Bryan "evolved on a level that is not human" and quickly"He's the example I would want my children to have," she continued. "I don't always agree with him and he doesn't always agree with me, but he is an example even when I don't agree with him."
In the same interview, Sandra called Bryan "the love of my life," while clarifying that the two had no interest in getting married. As she put it: "I don't need a paper to be a devoted partner and devoted mother."
