He started the 2022 season on the physically unable to perform list and was poised to make his return Sunday against the Los A Chargers. Verrett has struggled with injuries during his eight-year career, which now includes two Achilles tears, two ACL tears, a severe ankle injury and a torn labrum,The team announced today that CB Jason Verrett tore his achilles tendon in practice yesterday and is out for the season.
