Additionally, overall property crime went down by 9.7%, hate crimes decreased by 17.4%, gang-related offenses dropped 17%, and the number of documented gang members fell by 20%, according to the police chief. Among crimes classified as violent offenses, robberies increased by 18.4% over the 12-month period, while aggravated assault went up 1.2%, according to city officials.
