Although isolated they find strength in faith, family and friends.SAN DIEGO — In July 2023, the Segall family made the decision to move from San Diego to their home country of Israel. The family is afraid to go outside in their once-peaceful neighborhood as sirens continue to go off day and night.
“We just had sirens. People are texting me; I'm texting them. We're checking on each other,” said Segall. But the fear is constant, Merav grows emotional as she talks about the killings by Hamas. “I mean the stories are really horrific. They're really difficult to hear,” said Merav.
