Forecasters say daytime highs will be 9 to 17 degrees above average across the region, partly lifted by dry offshore winds that also will make for clear skies
A high pressure system off the West Coast will push temperatures 9 to 17 degrees above average across San Diego County over the Christmas holiday weekend and light winds will keep skies mostly clear, says the National Weather Service.
Oceanside will be 72 on Saturday and 78 on Sunday and Escondido will jump to 78 and 82 on the same days. One of the few areas that will feel Christmas-y will be Julian, which will be in the 61 to 62 degree range.The warm spell will last into Monday then quickly fade as a low pressure trough brings cooler weather — and possibly light rain — to Southern California.
