Helix Charter High School and Westview High School were recognized for exemplary performance
Two San Diego-area high schools have been recognized for being among the state’s highest-performing schools based on their standardized test scores.
The national Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed some 10,000 awards on more than 9,000 schools over the past four decades. Schools are awarded a blue ribbon in one of two categories — exemplary test scores, or low achievement gaps among student subgroups. “These schools show what is possible to make an enduring, positive difference in students’ lives,” Cardona said.
