The 🐙 at San Antonio’s SEA LIFE aquarium needs a name. Any suggestions?
The four-pound octopus arrived in San Antonio from Vancouver, British Columbia in September and has slowly been acclimating to its environment.
On Saturday, which also happened to be World Octopus Day, aquarium officials put out a call to the public asking for help naming the cephalopod.Facebook postNeed a little name inspiration? Aquarium officials said the Giant Pacific Octopus is the world’s largest-known octopus species. “They can be found in temperate marine waters from Mexico’s Baja California peninsula up to Alaska and across the North Pacific to China and Japan,” aquarium officials said in an email. “They are most abundant in the colder waters from Canada to Alaska and Japan.”SEA LIFE San Antonio is located at The Shops at Rivercenter, 849 E. Commerce St., 78205 in downtown San Antonio.
