San Antonio FC suffers first loss of 2022, falling to Phoenix Rising FC

Phoenix built a 21-5 advantage in shots and a 9-2 margin in shots on target, stifling the attack of SAFC . San Antonio goalkeeper Jordan Farr, thrust into his first start of the season after Cristian Bonilla abruptly announced his retirement for personal reasons this week, recorded six saves. In the 56th minute, Farr made a diving stop on a low shot by Luis Seijas from about 20 yards out, but the rebound bounced to Claudio Repetto just beyond the edge of the 6-yard box and Repetto fired a shot into the top of the net to give Phoenix a 1-0 lead.
Phoenix sealed the match in the first minute of second-half stoppage time when former SAFC midfielder Marcus Epps dribbled down the right side of the field, turned the corner into the penalty area and slotted a shot past [email protected]
