But there is 'exciting' news as a new venue is set to be announced
A popular Nottingham comedy club has announced it will be relocating after plans were unveiled to convert the current building into flats. The Glee Club Nottingham, a venue for stand-up comedy and live music, will host its final event in the British Waterways Building this Wednesday after occupying the space for 12 years.
The only existing building which remains there is the Glee Comedy Club after a gym and The Company Inn both closed in recent years. Under the plans, the six-storey former warehouse, dating from 1919, would be turned into 12 studio flats, 42 one-bedroom apartments and 41 two-bedroom apartments.
