SaddleridgeFire update: L.A. firefighters battle fast-moving blaze, Sylmar residents evacuated: 'Please just pack up and leave now'
Evacuations had been ordered for around 1,900 homes in Oakridge Estates, Glenoaks, the Foothill area and parts of Granada Hills and Porter Ranch.:"If you live in that area, please just pack up and leave now. Right now, our priority is to protect property, life and limb."

The San Fernando Valley pictured in this illustrative image, has been hit by a fire which has spread to more than 1,600 acres on October 10 2019. Mass evacuations have resulted although there are no reported injuries so far.
