They later described the atmosphere at the factory and said:"The lines were being dismantled around us."Good wages and made great friends over the years but it wasn't a shock it shut down as the company did not invest in the factory and when we lost products to make they were not replaced.The Tollcross site was earmarked for closure last year based on "a comprehensive business analysis, which considered several factors including utilisation, volume and product mix".
