Just how much rain did The City see the last two weeks? More than it's ever seen in your life.
Nearly 12.4 inches of rain fell in The City between Dec. 26 and Jan. 9, according to Golden Gate Weather Services founder Jan Null. He tweeted on Tuesday that the 15-day period was the third-rainiest since 1849, only to be surpassed by totals from December 1866 and January 1862 .

The January record, set in 1862, was nearly 24.4 inches.January 1998 was the last time The City received double-digit inches of rainfall in the first month of a year, with almost 12.1 inches. This January would mark only the ninth January since 1850 in which more than 10 inches of rain fell in San Francisco, according to Null's tally.
