Preston North End are a better team this time as they come to face Luton Town at Kenilworth Road, according to manager Ryan Lowe.
He said: “We're a different team now, with different personnel. Things can happen like that. That game was a calamity.
"The goals we conceded weren't great, does it stay in the back of your mind? Sometimes you have to let it go, don't you?"In Luton's defence they were fantastic last season and just missed out on promotion."I'm not thinking about it too much, if anything you look at it and want to put it right but that was then and this is the here and now. I think we are better than we were last season.
Lowe made six changes in midweek as PNE beat Huddersfield Town 4-1 in the Carabao Cup, leading to a selection headache this weekend. Those that came in on Tuesday slotted in seamlessly and that is what Lowe is looking for, he’s rather simplicity than Hollywood flair. He said: “You can't play for yourself. I say to our lads don't try and turn me on or showcase what you've got with 30, 40-yard diagonal balls that are going to be 50/50 balls."When teams do that, they're very effective. There is no me, myself and I here. We're together as one and I think the players see that.”
