A local Russian-installed official said Friday that Russian forces had captured a village in Ukraine's southern Zaporizhzhia region.
Thursday on Telegram that his forces had taken full control of the village of Klishchiivka just south of Bakhmut.

During a telephone briefing earlier this week, John Kirby, National Security Council coordinator for Strategic Communications at the White House, said that"we do not assess that [the Russians] have actually unilaterally taken both cities," referring to Soledar and Bakhmut.
