, alleging she gave him a statuette in his likeness containing explosives, in the second apparent bomb attack targeting pro-war figures on Russian soil since last year’s invasion of Ukraine. The country’s Investigative Committee said in a statement that it had detained Darya Trepova on suspicion of carrying out the Sunday attack in a cafe in the city center where the blogger, Maxim Fomin, was giving a talk. More than two dozen people were injured in the attack, authorities said.

Suspect in Russian military blogger's killing on wanted listRussian police are searching for a woman suspected of delivering a bomb that killed a well-known military blogger who fervently supported Moscow’s war in Ukraine. Russian officials said Vladlen Tatarsky was killed Sunday as he was leading a discussion at a cafe on the banks of the Neva River in the historic heart of St. Petersburg. Over 30 people were wounded by the blast. Russian news reports said the bomb was hidden in a bust of the blogger that the suspect had given to him as a gift just before the explosion. The Russian Interior Ministry identified the suspect as Darya Tryopova, who had been previously detained for taking part in anti-war rallies. She was put on a wanted list.
