Roy Keane has criticised Ryan Yates after an incident with James Maddison during Nottingham Forest’s defeat against Tottenham.
Reds midfielder Yates was unhappy with Maddison in the first half of the Premier League clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. He felt he was pushed by the Spurs man on the edge of Forest’s penalty area. After going down, he indicated VAR should take a look at the incident. Speaking about the incident on Sky Sports, pundit Jamie Redknapp said: “It’s not a lot. Yates is like that, he tries to get into players’ faces, a bit like Gascoigne and Vinnie Jones many years ago.” And Keane replied: “I worked with Yates at Forest, really nice kid, but every week somebody touches him he goes down. He goes down far too easily. For such a decent lad he needs to cut that out of his game.”
