Those missing the smell of wood fire pizza around Depot Park: There's a good reason why.
"The wood-fired oven gives the pizza crust a bit more of like a crackle and crunch and an airiness to the dough," the owner said.
"We're kind of rolling out the menu over the next few months," he said. "We probably won't have the full menu going until probably the end of the year." Bagel options are priced between $3 and $4, and include plain, everything, salted rosemary, cinnamon raisin, sesame, asiago, gluten-free and more. The menu features three- to seven-piece meals — grilled or fried — that come with coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast and Magoo's Dip. Sandwiches, wraps and salads also are available will your choice of homemade sauce.
Founded in 2004, Huey Magoo's uses all-natural chicken with no antibiotics, hormones, steroids or preservatives.
